Special events
Spring planting, Saturday, May 3. We start in the morning and will probably be done by noon. Bring your trowel and gardening gloves; we will provide the flowers, which go in the neighborhood signs around the district.
Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. Join us in Memorial Park at 11 a.m. for the annual memorial ceremony. Our association is one of the groups that will place a floral tribute to honor our fallen heroes..
North Plainfield Street Fair, Saturday, June 21. The neighborhood association participates in the program, with an educational display about our district, and we sell drinks and snacks. We need volunteers to staff the booth, and contributions of goods for our fund-raiser.
Independence Day, Friday, July 4. Join us along Greenbrook Road for North Plainfield's third annual Independence Day parade. We are planning again to have a float in the parade, and our kazoo band is always a hit with the crowd.

Friends of Vermuele Mansion, first Thursday of each month, 8 p.m. at the mansion on Greenbrook Road. The group is a non-profit organization, committed to preserving and maintaining the mansion
Association meeting, fourth Thursday of each month, 8 p.m. (Exceptions apply on the date and time.) Location varies.
